Isabelle Rose was nominated in January for Doll Magazine's "Award of Excellence" during the IDEX show in Orlando, Floriday. Plus, she was just nominated in February 2006 by Doll Reader Magazine for its prestigious "Doty - Doll of the Year" award! Isabelle Rose was one of only 5 dolls in the world nominated in its category. Isabelle Rose is based on the true story of how Pauline recently found in an antique lacquered trunk the traditional Norwegian bunad that was initially made for and worn by Isabelle's great-grandmother, Alfhild, when she was four years old. During a recent weekend visit to Pauline's home, Isabelle Rose proudly wore the beautiful costume and imagined herself taking part in a traditional Norwegian festival. In Norway the bunad was an important part of every girl's wardrobe and would be proudly passed down within the family. The skirt is black, the bodice is red and it has a white blouse and apron with beautiful cotton laces and exquisite bead embroidery on the cap, belt and bodice. Isabelle Rose is an 8-inch, all porcelain Paulinette with moveable head, arms and legs. She is limited to an edition of 500 worldwide. A beautiful wood Base doll stand is provided. $98
