Pauline drew the original illustrations of these adorable Inuit scenes late last year.

Each themed ornament features three illustrations that have been expertly re-created using the fine art of reverse painting.  Using a specially designed brush with a curved handle and sometimes only one bristle, the skilled artisan carefully draws the outline of the design on the inside of the mouth-blown glass shape. Next, the foreground details are painted (eyes, cheeks, lips etc) continuiing with each additional layouer of color in reverse order, the background being the last application. Skill, patience and careful planning create a work of art to be treasured forever.
